Yardney Basket Strainers are an inexpensive secondary filter to be used downstream of the principal filter. Field testing has proven this product to be extremely effective in catching material that "gets by" the primary filter or material that enters the system as a result of a pipeline break, etc. After the primary filter, the basket strainer is intended to stop contaminant before it gets any further in the system. They are designed for the "trapping" of gross amounts of contaminants and can withstand a substantial amount of "loading" without failure. The Yardney Basket Strainer is not intended to be used as a primary filter. If primary filtration is desired contact us for alternative products.
This product is also available for golf, turf and reclaim water applications. The "T" series basket strainer is favored by many water districts for use in reclaim water applications. Turf and reclaim product applications are available in "Sea Foam Green and "Reclaim Purple" Powder Coat colors. Industrial products are available in "Median Blue" Powder Coat colors.
